Lunch prayer

You have to love children's prayers. Grace has been into saying the prayer lately, today's prayer was especially note worthy...

"Heavenly Father, thank you this day, thanks for Kayla, this Church, Jayden, this food (then looks at me and says) what is it?" as to ask what comes next. I went to help her and then she said "Oh" and continued by saying "bless this food nourishment in christ amen."

HILARIOUS, CUTE, WONDERFUL. I love little ones they crack me up!!!

First day of preschool

Today was the little misses first day of preschool. The first thought that comes to mind is "WOW, are we here already?".I tried to get her all pumped up the day before by talking about it and how one of her friends was going to be there with her, she wasn't so much excited about the school as she was to hang with her friend. This morning we woke up at 7:00, ate some breakfast, changed into school clothes and off we went. When we got to school she was a bit skeptical and just wanted mommy by her side, as soon as she saw her friend and the toys she was all about it. I was able to sneak out and listen for a bit by the window to see how she was doing, at first she wimpered a bit but got over it shortly. Her new teacher Ms.Leila said she did well and was even her funny little self. One funny story I thought was worth sharing ... as some of you may know Grace has a hard time with colors , but got them all right on the first try today. The second go round her and her little friend decided to make a game of it and every time she asked Grace after that she said " I don't know" and then looked at her partner in crime who would say "blue" if it was orange as to kid around and then they would both start laughing. The funny thing is is that her little friend knows her colors like the back of her hand, I find it hilarious that they were messing around. School is cool, I wasn't ready but I am now! WOW, we are here already!!
